The recent border conflict between Cambodia and Thailand in July 2025 has forced thousands of families—many of them women, children, and the elderly—to flee their homes. In times of crisis, acts of solidarity and humanity are more important than ever. At Home Care Cambodia, we believe that caregiving doesn’t stop at the doorstep. It extends to everyone who needs support, especially those displaced and vulnerable.

Visiting Refugees in Siem Reap
Since the beginning of the crisis, our team has regularly visited temporary shelters in Siem Reap, including refugee centers and pagodas that have opened their doors to families in need. We don’t just show up with sympathy—we come with hands ready to help.
Our caregivers assist in everyday tasks that may seem small but mean the world to someone in distress: helping an elderly woman to the bathroom, supporting single mothers with childcare, providing a bowl of warm rice and soup to those who haven’t eaten all day. These are not luxuries—they are necessities.

Care for the Elderly and Single Mothers
Displacement is particularly hard on the elderly and on mothers caring for young children alone. Many of the people we meet suffer from untreated health conditions or simply need help moving around. For these individuals, our presence can be life-changing. We offer basic physical support and emotional care.
With our background in professional home care, we know how to treat people with dignity, even in the most difficult circumstances. Whether we’re assisting with hygiene, helping someone walk, or simply sitting down for a conversation—our goal is to restore a sense of normalcy and human connection.

Why It Matters
In times like these, the need for care goes beyond the home. Refugees are not just statistics. They are grandmothers, toddlers, and parents doing their best to survive. Providing food, care, and presence shows that they are not alone.
We believe that everyone deserves respect, support, and safety—no matter where they sleep at night.
